Spring 2012
Spring brought Jared's dad getting really excited about the garden. One fun thing that grandpa did was buy each of the kids a citrus tree to call there own. My kids loved planting those trees and taking care of them all summer long.
Spring also brought Brook getting asked to Prom. She got asked by a son of a lady that Jared dated in high school. It was a blind date. His name was Daniel and Brooklynn had a great time. He was a good dancer. She looked beautiful in her dress and my neighbor Holly did her hair. She always does an incredible job. It was so weird for us to have a daughter old enough to go to Prom.
Easter
Jared and I hosted Easter this year with Jared's family. We did the normal stuff dinner and an Easter egg hunt. It is always fun to get together with everyone. Carson loves the jello eggs that my sister-in-law makes. My mom always does a big Easter party at her house too. I just don't have any pictures from it but we really enjoy that as well.
Every year the kids all gather on the tramp after the hunt to trade candy. I tried to get a picture of them doing the trading. (there favorite part)
The older married grandkids with grandpa. I love this picture.(left to right Jeff and Heather, Lisa and Lex, Jordan and Cassidy.)
Brooks 17th Birthday
A dead bird
The kids where out riding bikes and came running inside to let us know that they had saved a robin from getting eaten by a cat in the neighborhood the problem was that the cat had already hurt the bird. They got a box and tried to save the bird but the damage was already done. They where all heart broken over the bird and so they decided to do a funeral for the bird. They invited the neighbor kids over and did talks about the bird and even a little luncheon after. It was really sweet.
