July 4th

This fourth of July was a blast. We got to go to the parade with my family and do the water fight like always with Jared's family. Jared's brother Mark was here for his daughter Heathers wedding so we got to spend some time with them. In between the water fight and fireworks we had a talent show with Jared's family. It was fun to see all the talents everyone has in the family. We also got to congratulate my Nephew Lex. He proposed to his girlfriend Lisa while watching fireworks. By the end of the day we were tired but happy.







This year at the water fight they played a game where you put a bucket on your head and a duck on the bucket then everybody tried to shoot the duck off of the bucket with there squirt gun. This is Carson when it was his turn. He thought it was great.

Today was the first day of school. The summer went so fast. I'm excited for the kids to have another great school year. Brook 9th grade Preston 7th grade(to cool to smile for a picture) Madison 4th grade London 2nd grade Giving Carson a kiss goodbye. He will miss having them home to play with.

Jared's mom passed away on Monday. We miss her already. Love you mom! Sara Jennet Meldrum Sara Jennet Meldrum, age 71, passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2009, surrounded by her family. Jennet was born January 6, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to Shand S. and Elva W. Cunningham. She was the youngest of four siblings, Lorraine Nichols (Malcom), Stanley (Jane), and Rex. She graduated from Davis High School, where she met her sweetheart, David Gurr Meldrum. On October 26, 1956, she and David were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Married at the age of 18, David and Jennet raised each other while raising their six children, Kevin (Cathy), Mark (Debbie), Shawn (Teresa), Julie Simmons (Jason), Jared (Cindy), and Matthew (Nicole). They traveled to many parts of the world with their young family before settling in Kaysville, Utah. Preston turned 12 years old on the 29th. I can't believe it! Where does the time go? I know I always say this but my little boy can't be going into junior high school. If you know Preston you know that he is a great kid. He loves telling jokes and is really good at it. He has the best laugh. It always puts a smile on my face. He is always willing to help us out when we need it. He has kept himself busy this last year by spending time with his friends, swimming on the swim team, scouting and of course at this age he loves his video games. He loves kicking back with Jared and playing World of Warcraft. Preston we love you! Happy Birthday!
