A Wicked Weekend

For Brooks birthday we gave her a trip to Boise to go and see the musical "Wicked" Jared, Brook and I left on Friday and came home on Sunday. We saw "Wicked" on Saturday. It was an amazing show. We loved it. We had such a good time. We went out to eat at some really fun places. We also got to enjoy a farmers market while we were there. We just kind of bummed around and enjoyed time with just Brook. We decided we would do some kind of trip with each of our kids when they turn 16 we had so much fun!
We went to "The Melting Pot after the show. They gave Brook this cute plate wishing her a happy birthday. It made it so much fun.

Jared's mom passed away on Monday. We miss her already. Love you mom! Sara Jennet Meldrum Sara Jennet Meldrum, age 71, passed away peacefully on December 14th, 2009, surrounded by her family. Jennet was born January 6, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to Shand S. and Elva W. Cunningham. She was the youngest of four siblings, Lorraine Nichols (Malcom), Stanley (Jane), and Rex. She graduated from Davis High School, where she met her sweetheart, David Gurr Meldrum. On October 26, 1956, she and David were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Married at the age of 18, David and Jennet raised each other while raising their six children, Kevin (Cathy), Mark (Debbie), Shawn (Teresa), Julie Simmons (Jason), Jared (Cindy), and Matthew (Nicole). They traveled to many parts of the world with their young family before settling in Kaysville, Utah. Preston turned 12 years old on the 29th. I can't believe it! Where does the time go? I know I always say this but my little boy can't be going into junior high school. If you know Preston you know that he is a great kid. He loves telling jokes and is really good at it. He has the best laugh. It always puts a smile on my face. He is always willing to help us out when we need it. He has kept himself busy this last year by spending time with his friends, swimming on the swim team, scouting and of course at this age he loves his video games. He loves kicking back with Jared and playing World of Warcraft. Preston we love you! Happy Birthday!
